The buzz around the MLB is that Marco Scutaro, formally an Oakland Athletic, was traded to the Blue Jays for Graham Godfrey and Kristian Bell. Godfrey and Bell are two highly touted pitching prospects. Scutaro hit 260 with seven home runs and 41 RBIs in 104 games last season with Oakland, as a backup infielder and outfielder for the A's.

The Blue Jays will most likely use Scutaro as a utility bench player. Scutaro formally was a backup outfielder for the New York Mets from 2002-2003. On a team like the Blue Jays with shakey infielders a utility infielder is much needed. I'm sure that Scutaro will be a great resource for the Jays throughout the coming season.
