The Anaheim Angels have traded Orlando Cabrera and cash considerations for Jon Garland
Last off-season the Mets were looking to trade for Jon Garland to bolster their starting rotation with younger pitchers of the same caliber. The reason that the Mets did not go through with this transaction was because they would have to trade their top prospects for him and decided that the trade was not worth it. Personally i would love to have Garland now considering how terrible our starting rotation became down the stretch last season.

the mets have got to start taking the initiative in the trade market for pitchers. they have the most money besides the yankees. the mets better come out of this off season with some good pitchers cause last year's collapse was based around the starting rotation and the bullpen. TAKE THE FUCKING INITIATIVE!
garland would have been good for the mets
